My major

My major as of right now, has been planned as Business Finance. Recently though, after taking Econ 103 with Professor Rustici, I realized that I have an interest in economics. Being able to determine why prices are the way they are and how I could plan for future economic effects is just some of the many advantages I would have with learning more about economics. Still being officially undeclared, it's hard to determine which path I will follow.

My major is biology. I love biology, I have a strong fascination with it which helps me keep interest in class. I do want to go either pre-med or pre-dental with it. Pre-med and pre-dental are both appealing from a money standpoint but if you don't have an interest or a want to learn the material it is almost impossible to succeed.

My major in undeclared in the Business but i am thinking about business management and minor in accounting that is if i can do it of course. I like the business world, i like the fact that one does not have to sit and stare at the computer the whole day but instead they can go out and meet people and make business friends. They are the ones that bring in money. I chose this major because first i hate science, i am absolutely horrible at it, i was good at it during middle and high school years but up until now and 12th grade, i failed, horribly. In addition, although i love math, i just cant know for a fact that i wont have the strength to solve math problems or think the whole day. Therefore, my only choice left is business. I am good at talking and persuading so i think I will succeed in this career.

Week 13

my major is psychology and I plan on becoming a MFCC. that stands for marraige family and child counselor. I feel these are areas that counselors are needed. but I have been thinking about changing my major to some type of writing or journalism. i love psychology but i have a deep passion for writing. but next year will tell bc i dont know what i want to do yet.

Week 13

I am majoring in english. My concentration is non fiction writing and editing. I hope to be able to write professionally and then one day be an editor of a magazine or some other publication. Since I want to be a writer I will need to be able to write creatively, concisely, and persuasively. I want people to be interested in what I have to say. If I am writing the same thing that every one else is writing no one will want to read it. Therefore I need to figure out how to make my pieces my own. In writing you have deadlines and limits as to how much space to have to fill. That is why you need to be concise. Say what you need to say and be done. If you go on and on you can lose your audience. I need to make people believe in what I am writing. If I don;t have a good argument or a valid point then I will have no readers.

The majr that im pursuing is Health Science with a concentration in exercise science. In this major I will have to write a lot which is good because I feel like it's one of my stronger points. I will have to come up with new ways to persuade people to come and let me teach them how to become physically fit. I will also have to come up with a business plan to get funding are hired to become an owner of my own gym or open up my own business. The writing will have to be persuasive, detailed and intriguing. You need to be persuasive to gain clients and have them want to do this for you. It needs to be detailed to cover your butt in case something happens and you can say "Can't sue me, you signed this contract right here." It needs to be intriguing because you want your audience to feel like they would be able to learn something from the skills you have to offer. The more people interested the better the chances are of you gaining clients.

Week 13

The major I am most interested in is Geology. It is kind of a family tradition and it is a big plus that I find the topic interesting. I figure that the most writing that would be used in this sort of work field will be research based. This meaning the writing will be methodized, analytical, and veritable since it is more earth science based than it is creative writing. I feel this writing is different than the typical prompt based paper since it is based on gathered evidence and for the most part is factual. It is methodized since you have to go about research in a certain order in order for it to make sense. Analytical for it is mostly examination of rocks and other minerals and veritable because it is, again, factual. There is no fluff (for the most part) to this subject, which can be a little of a downer. 

my major

i;m a film major and i'm not sure what i want to do in it but i['m leaning more towards the writing aspect. i really hate writing but if its for something i like or something i thought of, its like my best friend. writing in the film industry has to be unique,well presented, and good( on the basis of whatever genre the film is). writing for film is extremely competitive and i'm going to need to really brainstorm and put whats in my head onto paper.however in my field its not what you know but who you know so i guess there are alot of times where writing won't help.

My major

My major is IT (Information technology) I am not 100% sure what the requirements are for the class and to tell the truth I'm not sure how the degree will help me after college. My goal is to join the Air Force and become a pilot after college so I'm not sure how handy a degree in IT will be. However after i finish my term in the Air Force it will come in handy when i need to get a job in the civilian world. So really the degree is for even further into my future then right after college and if i cant be a pilot then it will come in handy right after college so it all works out.

Sports Management is the field I see myself pursuing. I am from California so the west coast sports teams are definitely engrained into my heart and soul. My dream is to be involved or even own a part of the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. I know that I will need a lot of connections as well as persuading skills. Therefore one situation where good writing is necessary will be in my resume'. All jobs seek someone who they think will be a great and refreshing addition to their team, so it is key to have writing skills in my field of study as well as my career in sports. The three adjectives to describe how my writing should be are persuasive, genuine, and believeable. Persuasive because not just anyone will be hired. Genuine for the fact that people lie and will try to cheat the company, and finally believable because I will make promises that I will keep and that are logical.

Kevin Cobb Reporting For ESPN

The career field that I am most interested in pursuing is sports broadcasting. I one day imagine myself working as a lead sports anchor for ESPN, the world wide leader in sports. I have always known how important writing is when dealing with sports journalism. For example with writing for a paper, you need to be able to explain in detail the event that has occurred. You need to be able to paint the images for everyone that was not there to witness it. I expect to be writing or co-writing my lines for highlight plays that I would be covering for ESPN. If you can write well, then you are on the right track for a great career. Your writings and your voice will be what guide you to success. Being able to write compositions is your first step in becoming a broadcaster.
I hope one day, I will achieve my goal and be covering sports for ESPN.

Air Power!

As a future Air Force officer, it is very important to have very efficient writing skills. Writing is a part of our curriculum. The Air Force wishes us to have accurate, beneficial, and consise papers. This is known as the ABC's of writing. I feel that I will be doing pleny of writing in the Air Force, particularly reports to my superiors. Whether these reports be about preformance, or a new idea to assist in the protection of the United States.

My major is tourism and events planing and i excpet if i get high enough up on the managment then i wont have to write papers anymore. i guesss until i get there i will have to write reports on how the project is going. i also will have to write reports on different events that i see. more of a report writing style.

Week 13

For my major, civil engineering, the writing that I'll most likely encounter will be project proposals and reports. Writing in this field needs to be concise, persuasive and informational because project proposals are used to get people to pay for projects so they will need a lot of information about their decision as well as some persuasion. Writing in this field also needs to be informational and concise because reports are used to state the facts about projects; they need to present the information and only that.
